Dish brush with antimicrobial bristles – worth the hype?
Saw some dish brushes advertised with “antimicrobial” silver-infused bristles to prevent bacteria/mold. Do they actually stay cleaner longer than normal ones, or is it mostly marketing? Anyone notice less smell after a few weeks?

The antimicrobial claim helps a little – my old brushes always got that sour smell by week 3 if not bleached. Switched to one with treated bristles and it stays fresher noticeably longer (maybe 6–7 weeks before any odor). Not miracle-level, but combined with proper drying it reduces how often I need to sanitize. The set I use has good scrubbing power too, not just soft and gimmicky. This one’s held the “clean” feeling longest for me https://www.amazon.com/dish-brush/dp/B0BTTSCX6T?tag=contractorhub-20 – bristles still firm after heavy use and no funky smell yet. Hang it dry every time though. You replace brushes often anyway?
